Therefore, we promote: -alternative and transit-oriented transportation -recycling and source reduction -alternative energy and increased energy efficiency -consuming local food -protecting fresh water -preserving open spaces -fostering sustainable behavior

The Green Decade Coalition is a grassroots orginization in Newton, Massachusetts, founded in 1990, engaged in a wide range of local environmental activities.
